Signing up for FEL Courses
Am I eligible to take an FEL course?
Flamingo Early Learning courses are free for Florida residents who are employed by a childcare provider that has a School Readiness (SR) contract or is a VPK teacher/director at a VPK contracted site. If you are unsure if you qualify, please reach out to your early learning coalition.
2022-2023 Enrollment
Fall A 2022 - Closed
Registration for the Fall A 2022 term started on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 and ended on Monday, September 5, 2022.
Classes began on Monday, September 12, 2022, and the term ends on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.

Spring 2023
Registration for the Spring 2023 term starts on Monday, February 13, 2023 and ends on Friday, March 3, 2023.
Classes begin on Monday, March 13, 2023, and the term ends on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.
Summer 2023
We are still determining when registration for the Summer 2023 term will be.
Classes are tentatively scheduled to begin on Monday, May 22, 2023 and would tentatively end on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
Registration for the Spring 2023 term starts on Monday, February 13, 2023 and ends on Friday, March 3, 2023.
Classes begin on Monday, March 13, 2023, and the term ends on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.
Summer 2023

How do I sign up for courses?
Contact your early learning coalition to see if you qualify, and review the instructions for creating your Flamingo account and enrolling in a course. After you've confirmed eligibility, you can enroll! If you have taken a Flamingo Early Learning course before, you do not need to make a new Flamingo account.
Sync Flamingo Courses with your DCF Transcript
- Log into the DCF portal at https://training01-dcf.myflorida.com/studentsite/admin/signin
- Navigate to your Personal Information profile tab
- Verify your first and last name, and your email address on file
- Locate your DCF Student ID (typically a 6 or 7 digit number) - refer to the screenshots below for two ways to locate your ID
- Log into Flamingo Learning at https://platform.flamingolearning.com/user/login
- Navigate to your Profile/Account page
- Verify that your information matches on Flamingo matches EXACTLY as it appears on DCF: DCF Student ID, first and last name, and email address
Once your information matches in Flamingo and DCF, your CEUs will be transferred to your DCF transcript within two business days.
Note: Anytime you update information in your DCF account, you will also need to update your Flamingo account.

Stipends are sent out 8-10 weeks after a term ends, NOT when you receive mastery. If you have any questions about your stipend, please reach out to your early learning coalition and ask to talk to someone about Flamingo Early Learning.
